The Catharine Maria Sedgwick Society promotes the study and awareness of Sedgwick’s life and works. We aim to increase availability and access to her writings and offer a forum for established and emerging scholars, as well as others interested in Sedgwick, to exchange ideas, research, and pedagogical strategies.


2020 Symposium – June 24-27, 2020 – Union College, Schenectady, New York

We are excited to announce our Ninth Sedgwick Society Symposium. We’ll gather this summer at Union College. You can view the call for papers here, and keep your eye on the website for location information, and other symposium details in the coming months.
