The 2017 Catharine Maria Sedgwick Society Symposium, “Where and When: Evolving Concepts of Place, Space, and Time in the Writings of Sedgwick and Her Contemporaries,” will take place June 7-10, 2017, at the historic Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, in the heart of the beautiful Berkshire region.

Conference Registration

To register for the conference, fill out the conference registration form, available here as a PDF or MS Word document.

• To register by mail, send the registration form and a check for the registration fee to the address on the form.
• To register online, email the completed form to cmss.news@gmail.com and pay the registration fee using the Paypal link on our membership page.

Hotel Accommodations

Blocks of both bed & breakfast rooms and regular rooms have been reserved for symposium guests at the Red Lion, which is offering a special conference rates for our attendees. Symposium attendees must call the Red Lion and make a reservation by phone in order to get the symposium rate (online registration is not available for this special rate). Travel

The nearest major airports to Stockbridge are Albany International, which is about 45 minutes by car, and Bradley International Airport near Hartford, CT, which is about 75 minutes by car. Bus routes and train-bus combinations are available from many nearby cities and towns in New England.
